Find the Right Piano - Without the Guesswork

Expert, independent guidance to help you choose a piano you’ll love for years to come.

Buying a piano can be exciting — but it can also be surprisingly overwhelming.

Upright or grand? Acoustic or digital? New or pre-owned? Which brands should you consider? How big should the piano be? How much should you spend? And how do you know whether you’re actually getting a good piano — and a good deal?

You don’t need to figure it all out on your own.

A Personal Online Piano Buying Consultation

In this one-on-one online consultation, I’ll help you work through the decisions involved in choosing and buying the right piano for you, your family and your home.

You might already have a particular piano in mind and want an expert opinion.

You might have a list of specific questions.

Or you might know almost nothing about pianos and simply need someone knowledgeable to guide you from the beginning.

All are welcome.

My role is to help you understand your options, identify what really matters for your circumstances, and give you the knowledge and confidence to make a good decision.

By the end of our consultation, you’ll have a much clearer idea of:

  • The type of piano that best suits your needs

  • The right size for you and your home

  • Which makes and models are worth considering

  • Whether new or pre-owned makes the most sense for you

  • What to look for — and what to be cautious about — when buying a piano

  • Where to position your piano in your home

  • How to care for and maintain your piano

  • What represents a realistic budget

  • How to approach the buying process and get the best value for your money

Most importantly, you’ll know what you’re looking for and why.

Buying a Piano Is a Big Decision

A good piano can be part of your family for decades.

The wrong piano can become an expensive disappointment.

It may look beautiful but have mechanical problems. It may be too large or too small for the room. It may not suit the person who will actually be playing it. Or you may simply pay considerably more than you needed to.

Getting independent advice before you buy can help you avoid costly mistakes and focus your search on pianos that genuinely suit your needs.

Meet Your Piano Expert

Hi, I’m Nada Jasz.

I’ve been a professional Piano Tuner and Technician for more than 25 years, so I know pianos from the inside out.

Over the years, I’ve also worked in piano sales and school settings, giving me experience with pianos from several different perspectives — how they perform, how they age, what they require technically, how they're sold, and how different instruments suit different players and environments.

I’m also the mother of two musical children, so I understand the questions families face when deciding how much to invest, what a developing musician actually needs, and how to choose an instrument that can serve them well as they grow.

My aim isn’t to sell you a particular piano.

My aim is to help you make a well-informed decision about the piano that is right for you.

Come With Questions — Or Come Knowing Nothing About Pianos

There’s no homework required before your consultation.

If you’ve already started looking, bring along the pianos, advertisements, brands, prices or questions you’re considering and we can discuss them together.

If you haven’t started at all, that’s perfectly fine too.

I’ll guide you through the important decisions step by step, explain the terminology in straightforward language, and help you narrow down your options.

You don’t need to become a piano expert.

You just need enough knowledge to make a confident buying decision.
